Good old OLE-001… that’s right, the …And There Was Light… EP from H.P. Zinker is the first-ever release from Matador!!!

Hans Platzgumer (guitars, vocals) and Frank Puempel (bass, vocals) toured Europe before relocating from their native Innsbruck, Austria to New York City in 1989, and H.P. Zinker was born. They recorded this EP as a duo with a drum machine, before eventually adding drummer Dave Wasik to the line-up.  …And There Was Light… showcased their contemporary take on classic forms, and features their cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Dancing Days.”
